Add an extension to a user

You can assign extensions to users with telephone numbers, enabling seamless internal communication. By configuring extensions, users can quickly and easily dial coworkers without needing to remember or enter full phone numbers.

  1. Log in to User Hub.
  2. Under Admin, in the left menu, select Users.
  3. Select the user you’d like to modify.
  4. Select Calling.
  5. Under Directory Numbers, select the user’s Primary number.
  6. Enter an Extension.
  7. Select Save to save your changes.

Dial an extension

Dialing an internal extension from your desk phone is quick and easy. Follow the steps below to connect seamlessly.

  1. Pick up the handset.

You can also use the speakerphone or a headset if preferred.

  1. Enter the assigned extension of the person you want to reach.
  1. Wait for the call to connect.

If the line is available, you hear ringing until the person answers. If busy, you may get a voicemail prompt or a busy tone.
