Manage Webex meeting settings

As an administrator, you can access and manage various Webex meeting settings for your organization, such as the default language, recording storage, integration of additional features like Slido and Webex Assistant, and calendar sync options.

  1. Log in to User Hub.
  2. Under Admin, in the left menu, select Services.
  3. Select Meetings > Settings to view the following meeting settings for your organization:
    • Under Default Video Connection, you can turn the default video connection on or off to control the Webex App setting Start my video when I join the meeting. You can also choose if users can edit that setting.
    • Under Automatically Step Away from a Meeting, users can turn this option on or off in their settings. Allow Webex to detect when a user is away from their camera for a while. Webex will automatically set the user's status to Stepped away, mute their microphone, and turn off their video.
    • Under Meetings, manage your settings for internal and external organizations.
    • Under Breakout Sessions, choose whether to broadcast messages to internal and external meetings.
    • Under Collaboration tools, use the toggles to enable annotation, polling, and Q&A, including Slido, for your internal and external organizations.
    • Under In meeting, use the toggles to enable or disable meeting features, like chat, closed captioning, and more.
    • Under Recording, choose to enable or disable cloud or local recording.
    • Under Remote Control, turn remote control on or off for internal and external organizations.
• Under Sharing, enable sharing options.
    • Under Telephony, choose your calling options, like call in, call back, VoIP and more.
    • Under Video, choose your default video resolution. The default video resolution is in standard definition (360p). Only the Meeting Center can use high definition video (720p).
    • Under Move meeting default, When joining a meeting that was already joined on another desktop or mobile device, you can select the default behavior for your users. The meeting can move to the new device and leave the meeting on the previous device, keep both devices in the meeting, or have the app prompt each time about what to do. Users will still be able to change their individual setting in Webex.
    • Under Meeting transcript download, enable participants to download the meeting transcript to their computers.
    • Under Recording downloads, click the toggle to prevent recording downloads.
    • Under Recording links, allow public recording links if desired.
