Manage your spaces
Organize your spaces by creating and organizing sections to keep your work structured and easy to navigate.
Create a section
Webex App provides two default sections: Favorites and Other. You can create up to 50 sections, with a maximum of 200 spaces per section.
- In the space list, select one of the following options:
- Click the Plus icon and choose Create a section.
- In an existing section header, click More options and select Create section.
- Right-click an existing section header or space and choose Create section.
- Enter a section name, with a maximum of 25 characters.
- Click Create.

Move spaces into a section
You can move spaces into a section in the following ways:
- Drag a space into the desired section.
- Right-click the space, choose Move to section, choose the section, and click Move.
- While in a space, go to Space settings menu, select Move to a section, choose the section, and click Move.

Expand and collapse sections
You can expand and collapse sections in the following ways:
- Click a section header to expand or collapse it.
- To collapse all sections, right-click a section header and select Collapse all sections.

Reorder sections
You can reorder sections in the following ways:
- Drag a section to move it up or down the list.
- Right-click a section header and select Move up or Move down.

Rename a section
You can rename sections in the following ways:
- In an existing section header, click More options and select Rename.
- Right-click a section header and select Rename.
Favorites and Other sections cannot be renamed.

Remove a section
You can remove sections in the following ways:
- In an existing section header, click More options and select Remove section.
- Right-click a section header and select Remove section.
Spaces in the removed section automatically move to the Other section.
Favorites and Other sections cannot be removed.

Show all or unread spaces
In each section, you can display all spaces or just unread spaces.
- In a section header, click More options, select Show, and choose:
- All spaces and DMs.
- Unread spaces and DMs. An icon appears in the section header to indicate new activity.

Show or hide sections
If you prefer not to organize your spaces into sections, disable this feature. When sections are hidden, your space list displays all spaces in a single view, with the most recently active space appearing at the top.
To hide sections:
- In the Messaging header, click Filter by.
- Depending on your platform:
- Windows: Select Appearance and click Show sections.
- Mac: Select Show sections.
- Repeat these steps to show sections again.
