Manage background noise

Participate in calls without interruptions from background noise like keyboards, doorbells, or other conversations. Remove unwanted noise and improve speech clarity for your calls with HD Voice that ensures high-fidelity audio quality.

Configure your background noise settings

  1. During a call, select Audio options and choose one of the following under Smart audio:
    • Noise removal—Eliminates all background noise on your end of the conversation, making it perfect for calls, meetings, or webinars in noisy environments.
    • Optimize for my voice—Filters out all noise and background voices, making it ideal for calls, meetings, or webinars in an open office environment.
    • Optimize for all voices—Eliminates noise and amplifies background voices, making it perfect for group collaboration in a conference room.
    • Music mode—Enhances audio quality for vocal and instrumental music, ensuring the original sound with music is preserved.

Manage external caller noise

During a call, click Smart audio • external from the in-call header and choose from the following:

  • Optimize for external party’s voice—Best for HD Voice.
  • Original—Preserves all audio, including music and background noise.
